"...like a punchline with a backbeat."
Jim Ladd, Master of Ceremonies

"Today we honor one of the most distinctive and unique bands to ever come out of rock and roll."

On October 2, 1998, the Music Community recognized Cheap Trick as the true rock and roll legends they are, by inducting them into the Rock Walk of Fame located in Hollywood. Next to such icons as Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa and Aerosmith, Cheap Trick marked their place in music history by leaving their mark in cement.

A very enthusiastic crowd of about 75 grooved to the sounds of Cheap Trick's re-mastered first album while waiting for their heroes to arrive.  Jim Ladd, a legend himself in Los Angeles radio, hosted the event.  Ladd would join the band on stage the following night to serve as the DJ during "On the Radio".

Noticeably absent was Robin who was unfortunately under the weather.  Plans are in the works to have his handprints added.

Thanks to Chad Von Haden for his exclusive backstage pictures, and Connie, Felicity and Randy for the rest.
